Lodge on the banks of the
Current
River
in
Van Buren
,
MO.
The
lodge and
nearby cabins are wonderful examples of Depression era architecture. Built
by the Civilian Conservation Corps they are still solid and in use today.
We have reserved space to house 20 students on our weekend. The cabins are
lovely rustic cobblestone buildings with all facilities or if you prefer
RV camping facilities are available nearby at
Big Spring
Park
.
Weaving
away the hours:
Classes begin on Friday, October 1st from 2:00 PM - 8:00PM.
Resume on Saturday from 8:00 – 5:00 PM and continue on Sunday
from 8:00 until noon. Students may choose from two different designs for
the weekend. The retreat is designed for students who would like to try
something a bit more challenging with lots of time to complete it. Designs
offered will be Granny's Antler, Double Walled bowl, Double Wall Pocket,
and Double Dog Leg.
To Register:
A $30 dollar registration fee is required for the weekend. Cabins
begin at $65.00 per night for two people
with screened in porch and fireplace but no kitchen sink and
continue to $120 per night sleeping six with three queen beds, futon, 2
fireplaces and 2 screened in porches.

Meals will be offered through Big Springs Lodge, offering dinner
Friday night, breakfast/lunch/dinner Saturday, and breakfast Sunday for a
fee.
