Let's talk Turkey (wing). If you are new to broom making this is another great beginning broom project to start with. The Turkey Wing broom is a traditional design that is quick to tie up and maybe something to WOW your hostess on Thanksgiving?
2 hour commitment for ZOOM class Saturday Nov 13th beginning at 9:00 AM PST. Kit includes 1/4 # of dyed broom corn in green, yellow, red, black, and pumpkin. One spool of yellow nylon twine.
What tools you will need for broom class: broom spindle scissors, exacto knife. These tools are NOT part of the class fee and will be required for you to make the broom during class.
This is probably my (current) favorite basket. Double walled with embellished trees on the outside wall of the basket. Wooden base start with flat reed stakes. 2 bushel handles top the rim.
Pine Tree Bucket class is a FOUR HOUR commitment beginning on SAT NOV 20 for two hours and SUN NOV 21 for two hours. You will be required to jump start your basket before class so that the inside wall stakes are woven in and twined. THERE WILL BE A PRE-CLASS VIDEO PROVIDED FOR INSTRUCTION on how to INSERT stakes and twine around it. We begin Saturdays class with the inside wall of the basket.
DEADLINE to REGISTER for CLASS: your registration purchase of $205 must be completed by Nov 1st. A maximum of 15 students are allowed in class.
Your kit will be sent to you the week of Nov 2nd by priority mail.
Please remember I live in North Idaho and classes begin at 9:00 AM PACIFIC TIME and run for two hours of instruction on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
But I can't be there for FRIDAY (or fill in the blank). Zoom class is recorded so you can watch (or re-watch) at your leisure. PLEASE NOTE: there is a limited amount of space on the ZOOM server for upload. Classes will be removed from the server after one month's time or as space requires.
What if I'm late to class? Class starts PROMPTLY at 9:00 AM PACIFIC TIME (see above)
