JCB BOUTIQUE REED CLUB

It's that time again!  Our fabulous dyed reed colors are now available in the JCB BOUTIQUE REED CLUB.

It's fair to say that are dyed reed is pretty fabulous.  We only dye in the heat of the summer to achieve our fantastic absorption of color on the reed.

THIS IS THE ONLY TIME WE OFFER OUR DYED REED TO THE PUBLIC.

This summer the dyeing operation is back in the hands of Jill and her place in Moyie Springs.  What we found when the dye production was done in the mountains of Sandpoint at Jenn's home is that we just couldn't get things dry enough before shipping.  Moyie Springs doesn't have that problem it's HOT here in the summer.

We are starting out subscription service for BOUTIQUE DYED REED in April however the first lot of orders will be shipped in JUNE. 

Why the wait?  Jill is still receiving cancer treatments and will be located in Coeur d'Alene (about a 4 hour drive from home) for a month of radiation during the month of May.  Even though she can sneak home for the weekends and (weather permitting) get the dye process started we don't want to say MAY shipping and then not deliver. 

JUNE WILL BE THE FIRST SHIPMENT OUT of the FOUR MONTH SUBSCRIPTION.  

How many subscriptions will be available ?  We will only offer 25 subscriptions to this service of space dyed reed.  

What colors will you offer?

JUNE - Purple Haze - a mixture of purple, avocado, turquoise
JULY - Santa Fe - a mixture of coral, turquoise, yellow
AUGUST - Tie dye indigo blue 
SEPTEMBER - Tie dye fire

What size reed will be included?

Each month will include 3 sizes of reed 1/2" FR, 3/16" FR, 1/4" FO, (FR- flat reed, FO - flat oval) dyed in the color scheme mentioned above.

What's the price?  

 Our spaced dyed reed normal retail price is $55.00 per pound.  Now that may sound expensive but this is what sets our space dyed reed apart.  We use commercial dyes and make sure to  "layer" over the dip points so that instead of getting 3 colors of reed you can actually get 5 colors on our space dyed reed. 

Our colors are intense and because we use commercial dye much less resistant to fade then RIT dyes. No one else on the market today has the knowledge of how to make tie-dyed reed and we are not giving up the secret.  Therefore Jill Choate Basketry is the only place to purchase it.

With all that being said we give a  20% discount on our BOUTIQUE DYED REED subscription membership.  What would normally cost you $165.0 with the discount goes for $132 per month, that's a savings of $33 per month.

How does a subscription service work?  

Once a month beginning in APRIL your credit card will be debited for $132 plus shipping.  This will continue for 4 months APR - JULY.  PLEASE NOTE:  shipments WILL NOT BEGIN UNTIL JUNE that means your last shipment will occur in SEPTEMBER.  

That also means that you will be charged in APRIL and MAY and not receive a shipment yet.
