Whenever I craft Cherokee wheels, my mind drifts to the great grandmothers in the Indian boarding schools—women whose rich traditions, vibrant colors, and authentic designs were stripped away and replaced with Victorian baskets. But even in that darkness, something beautiful remained—the honey suckle vine circles that they used to mark the difference between Cherokee and white baskets. Those circles remind us that everything is cyclical, that old ways can be reborn, reshaped, and reimagined in new forms.

I think about how the wheel itself symbolizes cycles—endings and new beginnings. It urges us to take what’s old, honor it, and turn it into something fresh and powerful.  

Recently, I kept seeing the Indian paintbrush flower—its fiery colors and wild spirit—inviting me to create something inspired by its beauty. And voilà, here it is: **The Paint Brush Pack**—a versatile collection tailored for your foraging, farmers market, and creative projects.
